Meet the Board – Denise Seiler

LEEF Board of Directors

“It goes beyond simply educating our students. It gives me the opportunity to help support the students both inside and outside the classroom either through funding or bringing families together.”

Name: Denise Seiler
Company: Community Impact
Title: General Manager – of the Georgetown and Leander/Liberty Hill edition

Denise is the General Manager of both the Georgetown and Leander/Cedar Park edition of Community Impact Newspaper – a hyper local publication that focuses on informing readers of information such as education, transportation, local businesses, etc. with a mission to build communities of informed citizens and thriving businesses through the collaboration of a passionate team.

Denise and her husband Jeff have been married for 16 years and have two amazing boys, ages 7 and 12 who both love to play soccer. They’re involved in their church, The Austin Stone Northwest Campus. Jeff and their oldest son volunteer in Kids Worship while Denise is on the worship team. As a family, they love to play card games and go fishing whenever they can.

Denise’s Why: My husband and I grew up in the Leander school district and now we are lucky enough to raise our kids in this amazing district as well. LISD has given me so much over the years and I see how much they love and care for their students in so many different ways. This is just a small way that I can give back.

Fave Book: The Nightingale – by Kristin Hannah

Fave Way to Spend Time: Watching movies with my family!

Fave Movie: The Princess Bride. That is a movie that I can NEVER watch too many times.

Fave Holiday: The best Holiday for me is Thanksgiving. I am more partial to this Holiday because I was born on Thanksgiving but eating is one of my favorite things to do as well. So, throw in some family, food and birthday and that is a great day to me!
